A healthy and balanced diet is vital for the developing child. We attach great importance to nutrition and maintaining nutritional standards.

Menu – A qualified nutritionist is responsible for our menu which is approved by the Public Health Centre. Food is provided by the Gurmanija Company.

We cater for children with special food requirements (GF, allergies, etc) and can adjust our menu accordingly. Please note an additional charge applies to meals that differ from the standard meals we provide.

Ordering food – At 15:00 we order food for the next day. Please let us know by 09:00 if your child does not require lunch or the snack on the following afternoon.

Birthdays – Please do not bring any sweets and cakes for your child’s birthday. We celebrate birthdays only with fruits.

Hydration – At House of Stories we drink water; and there is no need to bring water to the kindergarten.

Opening hours

  • The kindergarten is open from 07:30 to 18:00.
  • Please make sure that you arrive with your child before the start of the morning circle at 09:00. If you are delayed or prevented from arriving please inform the teaching staff on the general group telephone number by 9:00 am.
  • We charge a one-time fee of EUR 20 if you do not pick up your child by the closing time of 18:30.

Lock code – The kindergarten gate is locked with a code lock. We will provide this code and information about security when you sign our contract. Never tell anyone else your code combination.

Pickup/drop-off – Please tell us in advance who is going to drop off and pick up your child. This could be the parent or someone close to the family, however you must advise who it is in writing and provide signed consent for the child to be collected.

When you arrive in the morning, and after you visit the child’s locker, please accompany the child to their group. Please tell our educational staff when you leave with the child at the end of the day.

If your circumstances change

If your telephone contact numbers change, please tell our administration and educators immediately.

Children learn life skills when they play together, which transforms into life-long learning.
